Tired signs but doesnt want to sleep?

This seems to be a regular thing every morning and im stuck what to do.

If i try and put him down to sleep he fights it hard, as of yet he has never actually gone to sleep weve always ended up getting him up again.

Is this one of those things where hes dropped a nap but his body hasnt quite caught up yet?

He will nap fine in teh afternoon for a good 2 hours.

Joe does this too. He used to nap after every feed, but in the last few weeks he usually misses one nap completely a day. Never at the same time though, sometimes it's one in the morning, sometimes in the afternoon!

My LO is the same in as much as he refuses to nap, and we can't even try CC as he doesn't actually cry, he'll end up in his cot chatting to himself (he's doing it now!) but he is absolutely shattered, if we bring him down he just rubs his eyes and whinges!

So basically we have a grumpy baby all day apart from the odd half hour even there. And i'm sorry, but I have no advice on how to help! Arghhhhh!!!

When he cant nap, I just lie down with him on my bed & talk to him softly, then hug him tightly until he finally gives up & sleep. This is the only way that works for us when he refuses to nap & is over tired.

Since 3 days, I also shifted his bathtime to morning after he has his bottle & play for some time. He's napping much better, & it shortened the bedtime routine as the full bath at night is now replaced with a mini body wash, change & massage.

OMG.....i have just realised that Alex is nearly one!!! How time flies?!!

Maley dropped her mid morning nap around one too....(she has a 2 hour nap in the daytime now)....if she is grumpy I just tell her its relaxing time and we will get a blanket and sit on the sofa and watch some tv. She wont sleep but she will just relax and sit there for a while so rests rather than sleeps.

Sometimes when i cant get aleesha to nap, I take her sleepsuit off and rub her legs, also if shes figiting around I gently hold her hands (seems to calm her, she has long hair and tends to pull at it lol)
or she likes watching the musical images on windows media player lol and i sing to her.

Sometimes shes just wants to be put in her car seat and rocked to sleep, if all fails, have a walk to asda! haha
