Ah bless you hun. I can't really give you any advice as such and I just wanted to give you some hugs.

Charlie wakes at 5am and goes to bed at 7.30pm. Him waking at 5 doesn't really bother me as we both have an afternoon snooze when he has a nap at 2pm. Maybe you could try this and see if it stops you feeling so tired?

Hope someone else can give you some advice.

xx

Sam often wakes at 5am- he goes to bed at 7pm. I have found putting him to bed later makes no difference and shortening his naps during the day makes him sleep worse at night! I have just got used to the early mornings and hope he starts to starts to wake later as he gets older. Sorry to hear you are so tired, it must be hard if he is waking during the night as well. I would try and nap with him during the day if you can but I know that isn't always possible!

Are all the basics covered?

Dark room - the mornings are getting lighter maybe thats disturbing the sleep as they naturally wake up every 1 1/2 hours or something like that .. maybe he finds it hard to go back down as its too light.

Im going to buy a blackout blind - i find my lo sleeps in a bit longer on weekends as theres less car lights shining through her window lol.

Cold/hot - Is he in blankets or a sleepbag .. sleepbags are obv good as they cant come off so stay warm.

My lo sometimes wakes at 4.30/5 and like yours never wants feeding or anything like that - i find she wakes moans abit but as long as she doesnt roll over n bang her head on the cot she will generally settle back to sleep, have you tried just leaving him?

I would stick with your bedtime though ive tried moving it back before and it caused nothing but trouble and she still woke at 4.30 lol.

We're the same, Theakston's normally asleep by 7pm and most nights will sleep til 5/6am. At the moment he's teething & stuff so waking in the night but usually its 7pm - 6am but can be anything from 5-7.30am that he gets up. It's just routine now!

Joe's waking time seems to be moving earlier too. It used to be between 8-9am, but now it's 7am, if I'm lucky. I know thats not super early, but his bedtime is still 9pm and I was hoping to move it til earlier and am worried now he'll be awake in the middle of the night.
I'll be keeping an eye on this thread, see if I can pick-up any tips.

Oh my Since our LO started sleeping through, he has always been to bed btw midnight and 1 am, up 8 hrs later. Hearing your stories makes me glad we are doing it this way...I couldn't bear getting up at 5 am for the day (we are all nightowls).

I'm so sry to hear that hun. Joe goes to bed at 6.30 and normally gets up at around 7am, with a bottle at around 3am. I tried getting him to bed later and it made no difference.

Did you try putting him in his cot again and again??? I'm just wondering if the quality of sleep you're getting might not be that good cause he's with you in bed.
I just know from myself that I'm never properly asleep when I have Joe in bed with me when he's poorly, therefore I'm knackered by 10am.

Did you mention it to your HV? Maybe she got a solution for you.
I hope somebody got some helpful advice for you!
