Ladies i need ur advice......

okie doke....ill explain!!!.......

Evie is a very good baby(well she was!!!)-she's my second child-i had Ben 6 years ago-he was easy!

we had her weighed 2 weeks ago and she's dropped weight again-she' 5 months and weighs 13.11 lbs (on the chart she's below the dotted line under the bold one.

the h'visitor said to start feeding her so we did. also went to the doc as advised.
the doc says wait 3 months and if theres no improvement we'll b refered to a pediatrition (sp!!!)

she's never drunkmuch milk-we are lucky to b able to get 5oz in to her-all day yesterday she had 16oz total and some banana porrage-the sma tin says she should be on about 35oz!!!! i know its a guide but shes way under.
We are dream feeding her too to keep her going through the night but she's still waking very early for food.

i worried now, the h'visitor is concurned ish but the doc is happy at the mo

what do u think??????? Ben was easy-he did what he should have, when he should have-Evie is so different

My friends LO is 6 months and weighs 1lb more than your LO, shes petite, happy and healthy and her HV isnt concerned, shes only just starting to wean her and she has a big appetite for food which she doesnt have for milk, her mum and dad arent that big either so shes not gonna be a big girl, i wouldnt worry hun. If you docs happy then i would be. x

Hi hun, at exactly 5 months my first daughter weighed 12lb13oz! She was basically weighed by the hv every month up until she was 18 months (but luckily it didn't feel invasive as i love my hv and she could indeed see that my lo was just a little eater!).
My second daughter is now 15 weeks and is not quite 10lb! I promised myself i wouldn't worry this time but of course i do and where ever possible i express my milk into a bottle so i can see how much she is taking: i am lucky each feed if shee takes 21/2 oz! Thank god my hv understands that i just have petite girlies and she also doesn't expect huge gains as i am only 5ft 1inch! Can i ask your size? xx

Alex is 5 months corrected and weighs 12lb 4oz. No-one seems worried (she was prem but i dont think it makes a difference in this case).

I've heard of babies weighing less at that age, a paeditrician coud suggest a high calorie milk though?
