Am I insane??

Haha I actually enjoy the night time wake ups and feedings...I know I'm probably going to punch myself later on for saying this but they're kinda fun to me! I'm weird! I also dont mind getting puked on, pee'd on or pooped on. I guess I'm just really enjoying having a baby around again!

I don't think it's insane. Up until very recently my LO was feeding three or four times a night - I don't miss that - but I was thinking that I will miss it when he starts reliably sleeping through with no night feeds. He still seems to need one feed at the moment and I'm in no hurry for him to drop it really!

You're not weird.. I was like that too at first. It's the adrenaline keeping you going! I remember thinking "yeah she's awake!" and bouncing off to get her. I enjoyed our midnight cuddles.. I think it was around 5-6 weeks this feeling wore off a bit and I felt absolutely shattered!

Now she sleeps (most of the time!) straight through till morning and although I love having some more sleep I can't wait to see her in the morning! Those first grins of the day just break my heart every time..

I loved having more time with Joe when he woke in the night, but I've always needed loads of sleep, so I think I'm a better person now he sleeps through lol!!! I'm well grumpy when I haven't had any sleep.

Congratulations on your little baby xxx

Congratulations.

You are still riding that wave of love. That feeling will never go completely (so no, you're not insane lol), but tiredness will start to creep in soon (sorry)...however, that feeling changes into overwhelming love and a knowledge that you would do anything at all for that little person. I miss Earl right now. He goes to bed at 7, and I don't get to see him until 11 when I do his dream feed. I check on him every hour, and I often find myself sat in his nursery watching him sleep.
