No wet diapers

So I changed Katies diaper last night at 10pm and laid her down. She went to sleep and didnt wake until 3:00am. I got up to changer her diaper and then feed her, but I realized her diaper is completely dry. I am a bit worried as her diaper is usually pretty wet by this time. She didnt really wake to eat and just seems so lethargic. My husband doesnt seem concerned, but I am now wide awake and worried about her. She was also cold. I took her temperature and it was 97.0 degrees. I have her bundled in her blanket right now, but she is not acting like herself. Should I be concerned?

Oh yeah she is Exclusively breastfed and when we went to the lactation consultant yesterday she took in 5 ounces of milk so I know my milk supply is ok.

Hi hun,

I would be a little concerned too. No wet nappys, is a sign of dehydration. And if your saying she is also out of sorts and not her self, i would bring her to the doctor, just to be on the sife side! Its probably nothing, but its better to be safe then sorry, then at least you can put your mind at rest!

Good luck, let us know how she is xxx

If when she wakes up again its still dry, i'd call your GP/HV/peadiatrition (not sure who you see in USA) for advice. It is def a sign of dehydration but 1 dry nappy doesn't mean that she is hun x

Carter doesnt pee the whole time were out even if its 3 hours than we get home and he soaks a diaper weirdest thing. Sometimes when he wakes up too he doesnt wet his diaper till hes woken up a bit. I would say keep an eye on it if you think its out of the norm call the doc.

if i change lucas mayb a hr after his last feed then chang him in a morning befor a feed (he dosnt wake in the night) he some times has a dry nappy. If she is not tacking any milk then she wnt have a wee or very little if she is drinking lots and not weeing see youer doc. If babys have got dehydration there soft spot on there head will be sucken the skin on the back of hand with stany up when pinched and you will get red/pink blood wich isnt blood in the nappy.
