Is she to young for a stroller??

Hi everyone,

What age did you/can you start putting LO in a stroller?

My LO is 3 months old and i was wondering if she could go in one now as i live on the second floor in a block of flats and the lift here is constantly out of order, and iv just got a letter through saying they dont know when its going to be back working again(it could be months!!!!)
The pushchair i have is really heavy so i cant get down the stairs on my own with it and LO.
i have a sling but cant take her out in it for very long as it makes my back ache, plus we both end up getting really hot as well.
so if she can go in a stroller this would be good as i could get a really light one then so i can carry it.
she can sit up really well when supported, what do you all think?
or can you think of any other ways we can get out and about?
because at the moment i can only go out when my hubbys not at work and were missing all the nice weather!!

thanks for reading and thanks for any advice xx

I was wondering something similar. i have a big pram (silver cross linear freeway) which we Love but LO is getting annoyed lying down all the time. She prefers to be in her car seat on the wheels so she can see.

Is there a requirement for when they can be sat up? I don't know but she also has good head control but can't sit unaided yet.

We have the Silver Cross Sleepover and the chassis is so heavy so I've bought a Fizz to use when I take her out and it says that can be used from 6 months, but doesn't say why you have to wait til 6 months.

I think it depends on the stroller - ours said for use after 3 months, and it goes quite far back as well. We started using our right at 3 months. If they can lie totally horizontally, then I believe you can use them right away.

you can get strollers that can be used from birth, you just have to make sure you look at the specs of the particualr stroller you are interested in to make sure its suitable, if its from birth or 3 months there no problem x x x
