hi hun, I have a maclaren quest which we bought as our nipping about buggy (we have a icandy apple for longer journeys) maclaren do a from birth buggy (lays back flat) and a buggy from 6months (the one we have) I think as long as the buggy says from birth/3months you will be fine - I think the from 6 months ones dont lie back as flat as babies cant really control there necks that well so flop to one side

Just a question, can you not leave your buggy in the back of the car maybe?

Hope your lift gets fixed soon!!

some are from birth if thwy lie flat, from 3 months usually go halfway (ish) back and from 6 months tend to be ones that either dont go back at all or only very slightl;y

i have a silver cross pop which is from birth and lana has been in it once lol, i got it for taking to town etc but i love my big pram so much i always take that - cant fit much shopping in the boot though lol

The Petite Star Zia 3/4 is really lite, like 8lbs and lies all the way back.

And can be carried folded up and carry a baby at the same time, did this many times when gettin on the bus.

We bought a stroller for Evie for the exact same reason. It's this one http://www.kiddicare.com/webapp/wcs/..._103537_10001_ and it's fab! We use it as our main buggy now, as it lays almost flat so great for a very young baby Oh and great price too!

Mine is a Petite Star Zia, you can use this at birth apparantley as it reclines, and its lightweight - we love it!

I'm a massive weakling and I was fine lifting it before myself so I'm happy. Think it weighs about 4kg. We got ours from Lesters Nurseryworld and it was £54.99 Inc postage.

The Zia is lovely too, and folds really flat for when you need it in the car (plus the colour range is ace!) x
