TMI: vaginal discharge

my postnatal bleeding finally stopped ( only two days ago!) and now i have yellow discharge.

no itching, no discomfort but it's yellow.

any ideas?

like, how yellow?

edit: it sounds like the tapering off of normal postpartum discharge. especially if you just stopped bleeding a couple days ago.
the discharge will gradually taper off, changing from pink or brown to yellow or white.

like a light but definite yellow.

how long should i wait and do i need to see a doctor to rule out an infection or are there other ways to tell?

I'm sorry for sounding ignorant but I've never had a vaginal infection before.

if there is no itchiness or discomfort you are fine.
i recommend highly taking a good pro-biotic supplement (acidophilus), a good idea for EVERY woman who has just had a baby. it restores and maintains the flora down there.
if it does become itchy or uncomfortable, then it could possibly be something else. either way, pro-biotics will make sure things are getting back to normal.

From what I've read, yellow is a normal next stage after the bleeding stops.

I stopped bleeding about a week ago and I have a like orangy/yellow discharge, I think its normal

I still get this, I had swabs done for another reason aswell as this and its not an infection so must be normal! Like someone else said unless it smells or itches i dont think theres any reason to worry!

Yes this happened to me too, perfectly normal as far as i'm aware. I found this:
