Oh I'm sorry hun, I'm not surprised you're a nervous wreck over it but you can't go thinking you let this happen; it's not like you intentionally did it. Babies drool and you weren't to know this would happen. I wouldn't have known something like this could result from simple drooling. I really hope little Mason gets better soon. Take care. xx

Aw Rach, it's nothing you've done. Joe dribbles all day and it gets everywhere once his hands are in his mouth and then he touches his cheek or forehead or other hand...It's constant!

Please don't feel bad, you are a fab mum xxxx

Oh poor little one I can imagine the pain you must be feeling seeing your LO so sore. Today's pics do look better, but the potential for spreading must be worrisome... Maybe contact the doc to let him know?
Thanks so much for informing us - who knew sth like that could happen from drooling and chafing. Please don't blame yourself, we can't keep our babies in a bacteria and virus free bubble for life after all, and you are doing a public service now by warning us. Did the doc say where the flesh eating bacteria could come from? Are they just a normal part of our environment that us healthy adults can fend off with our mature immune system? It's really quite terrifying.
And I must say - Mason is super cute.
