I started at around 3 and a half months as this was when my LO could hold her head up for quite a while without getting tired. If you do it before then, you'll probably find that the baby doesn't like it.

I started since day one as he was placed on his tummy since birth for 2 days under neon light to treat jaundice. He has very good head control since birth. until now he loves tummy time & now he tries to turn.

We started when Joe was about 3 weeks old but he hated it and we only managed about a few minutes before he started crying. He then changed when he had more head control at around 2-ish months to liking it and so we increased the time from there.

We started from day one really, but we bought a play matt that had a pillow attached to it

at first he could only handle a couple of minutes.

He now has could head control (4 months) sometime he will last for 15 minute or so - sometimes on 2-5 again depending on his mood. He seems to like it better if I lie on the floor with him hehe

I started from day one. Emma never had any issues with hating tummy time though. I know a lot of babies hate it at a young age.

I think when they'r used to tummy time at very early stage, they love it & it becomes part of their playtime.

Our midwife told us to start it from day one and he has never had any issues with being on his tummy and has spent most of his time on his tummy since about 4 months when he could roll backwards and forwards.

we started from day one and my LO hated it. She still hates it now when in a bad mood but not so much. we have this lamaze inchworm thing that tucks under her arms and really helps her. you can use a rolled up towel under the arms which would work just as well. i think it gives them a boost so that they can get their heads up higher and see that its worth trying as theres things to look at if they make the effort whereas when they can only just get their heads off the ground theres not much to see
