I thought it was a bit like controlled crying - you leave them for increasing intervals? Rub their 'third eye'? Am I confusing it with something else?

Oh my God yes! I nearly got up at 6 a.m. to express, it was SO uncomfortable. Ended up having to express even after he had a massive feed as boobs were still sore!

I think it is geared more towards night time sleeping really although it does cover napping too. Yes it is basically the same method. I now have Thomas taking his naps in the cot but I think he was ready to do that anyway, I was just too scared to try putting him down in cot. But his naps are still too short I think. She does say that it generally takes longer to sort out napping compared to night time sleeping, apparently it can take 3 or 4 weeks for naps to get longer using the programme so we will see!
