WWYD....incorrect medicine prescribed for baby

Hello, I was having a chat with the health visitor today asking when my appointment with a hospital consultant would come through and she was reading back through my history saying that LO had a swab done and the results came back the next day that he had a penicillin resistant ear infection.......I asked her to repeat it and she did. So I asked why was he prescribed penicillin to treat the ear infection after the results came back? And she said she was questioning that herself.......

As it goes his ears are clear now (presumably by themselves) but it does seem he has had a completely worthless course of antibiotics......I am pretty cross as apart from anything else they affect his poor little tummy.

What would you do? Am I over-reacting?

aww thats awfull hun!...personally i would put a complaint in....to many people say oh wel its done now and dont bother 2 but if no1 complains then no1 wil learn by their mistakes for the next time and it could be alot worse. at least who ever prescribed wil be alot more careful next time if nothing else xxx
