Here's a question for all you nappy experts - how does the sizing work? Are all brands sized newborn, size 1, size 2 etc. or are they all called different things for different sizes? I hope that makes sense.

I have used pampers all the way through so far. No leaks, no nappy rash, seem comfortable enough and easy to put on! Also some good deals on the MEGA packs and also brought quite a lot for dead cheap in the Baby Event which was good.

Though i wouldnt say i would rule out other brands, i just havent need to consider it yet, but maybe one day!

As far as I know from the nappies I have bought over the last year, they are all sized the same to make it easier. From tiny baby, newborn, then sizes 1,2,3,4 then 4+ ( don't really understand 4+ lol!) 5 & 6! Noah at a year is already in size 5's! But I've noticed some nappy companies are more generous sizing than others!

Glad I started this now! Clearly not just me who's looking for alternatives haha!

i have found that tesco nappies are fantastic for my lo. She is quite a big baby and i found that pampers and huggies just didnt give her the room she needed around the middle. So in turn i found there are less leaks and on the plus side they are much less expensive than other brands. I have been told that asda nappies are quite good too though im reluctant to try as i happy with the tesco ones for now

Can't vote as I've tried everything under the sun lol.

At the moment we use Pampers come what may. Boots are abysmal as the sizing is all wrong and while they work when they're still at the lower end of the size bracket, they soon start to leak.

Tesco's are good (in fact brilliant!) in the newborn sizes but the 'baby dry' ones gave Earl a rash. Asda's also good but again, sizing an issue. Not tried Sainsbury's as they never have the size in when I go but as soon as I see it (Sainsbury's is my main supermarket at the moment) I will lol. Not tried Morrisons either. On the subject, Huggies gave Earl a rash too and Nature Babycare gave him papercuts!

So, with us, we've swapped and changed as he's grown and figured out that Pampers are the way forward for us as they seem to be the most consistent, but I would recommend Tesco's if you've got a littley (haven't tried them recently) and Asda's at a push.

I have tried: Pampers / Huggies / Morrisons / Tesco's / Asda's and am currently using Nature Babycare. Its good idea to try a variety and see what suits your own LO's bum I never would have if I hadn't been given so many nappies but I am glad I was so I can see the difference. I was given a bucket load of nappies as gifts hence why I have tried lots!

I have spacifically bought Tesco's own which I have had no problems with. Easy to find the right size, keep her nice and dry, even after a long night. Fit really well. They do things similar to active fit too, just called a different name, I can't remeber it as such since its been a while since I bought nappies.

TBH I wasn't personally keen on Pampers and haven't used them since Chloe was new born. When she was newborn Morrisons were brilliant but I don't live near one and hence havent bought anymore.

Asda were okay, nothing wrong with them as such.

Huggies, I wouldn't go out and buy them just becasue I am so happy with Tesco own but if I were going to go with a branded choice I would use these. They fit really well and keep her nice and dry. They don't get too bulky when 'full' and make her clothes look funny iykwim.

Nature Babycare are okay, they were freebies again / hand me downs. They work but I wouldn't go out and buy them again. They feel a little rougher on the outside to me so not sure how they feel on her bum. No rashes as such and she seems happy. They don't seem to stretch as well around her either, I think that is what puts me off.
