Aww hun , the poor little girl. After my recent experience with Daisy I think I'd go to A&E just to be double checked. Its so horrible when your baby is ill .

id take her to a&e just to be sure. that way u get a second opinion too cos the amount of times ive taken willow to see a doc and then another a week later and they say different things!!

hope shes ok. can u try giving her just cooled boiled water out of bottle or will she not take it?
if she gets worse and wont feed thats when she will get dehydrated. at hospital they could put her on a drip to get fluids in if it comes to it.

xxxxx

You're completely right, I would do the same. Poor Bella, I hope she's better soon. Let us know how you get on when you get back from A&E

In a baby under 1 year old, a temperature of over 38'C after attempts have been made to cool them down and paracetamol/ibuprofen have been given, is serious enough to seek immediate medical advice.

A babies temperature does rise during sleep but they should cool down after a few minuets as they wake up, this is normal.

Over a year old a 38'C temperature is not as serious unless it has lasted more than a day.

As for paracetamol, if your lo is really against it, speak to your GP who can advise you on using the 6yr+ type, they can tell you what dose to use. We have to do this with DS2. I've also found that drizzling it from a syringe onto the inside of the cheek is better than down the back of the throat, stops the gag reflex.

Hope she gets well soon.
