Which video monitor would you recommend (or not recommend!)

Rose is going to go into her own room soon

I have really enjoyed having her right next to me and will miss her and worry if she is ok.

Somehow I have managed to persuade my dh to get a video monitor, .

What would you go for or stay clear of? All I care about is the video bit really as I have an angelcare monitor.

Thanks

We got the Summer Infant Zoom video/sound monitor from Argos (£129.99).

From day one it has been perfect. It has a night vision mode, which gives a fantastic picture, and it has a zoom button so you can get a real close up view. The angle of the camera can be changed using the monitor handset, so if baby wriggles out of shot you can chase after him!
The sound quality is also great - even picks up noises from next door!

I love this, and am pleased we went for a pricier one, as I feel the quality is excellent, and really keeps my mind at rest.

That looks and sounds fab!

Do you have any interference problems with it? That seems to be the most common complaint from these things.

None at all, we've never had a single problem.

I don't know what our house is like for reception and things - DH can never get a signal on his mobile, but I always have a great one on mine!

I have a Lindam video monitor. I have only used it a couple of times so far when she's been having a nap in her crib and I'm downstairs but both times it has been great. It makes me feel more relaxed knowing I can see her as well as hear her and it has a button that you can press that plays soothing music into the room if she stirs a little.

We were looking at a video one beofre getting a BT 150,

The reason i did not get a video one was due to having to mount the camera somewhere in the LO room,

Plus, the quliaty of the ones i saw in the shop was not great in my opinion,

The BT 150 which we got is really good, We have a Tommy Tippee with sensor pad before, which broke after 2 months, (took it back)

Cheers
