I'm absolutely gobsmacked at Earl.

He's been really grumpy all morning and afternoon, constantly whinging. It's quite obviously growing pains as his bumbo hurts him, teething, hurts if he's held funny (accoridng to him lol) etc etc. He's been eating every 2.5 hours too which is back to his old ways.

Well, I fed him at 3, put him on my lap to try to get him to take a bit of a nap (he sleeps on me most of the time, although I'm trying to wean him off, but today was not the day for that). He passed out, woke himself up at 4 whining, but fell straight back, and woke up eventually at 5, so nigh on 2 hours. For that entire time, he was more or less unconscious lol

He woke up, and we did a bit of play on the floor, tummy time, that sort of thing, as we always do at this time in the day as we need to use up all that energy ready for bedtime.

Well, I couldn't believe it - he has suddenly developed about 6 six skills that he couldn't do literally 2 hours previously!!

He can now

- reach out forwards and actually grab things (previously I'm pretty sure it was accidental and always with a closed fist), and this includes while on his tummy as I tested that too lol
- take a toy to his mouth and chew on it....only for a second but this had never even occured to him before
- roll over slightly in order to reach something to the side of him (he would just wait for me to 'fetch' before )

That's just the ones I can remember through the blur of excitement! I'm just such a proud mummy right now. I'm just gobsmacked that this could happen after just a 2 hour nap. I dread to think what he'll be up to in the morning (he's in bed now and instantly went to sleep when his head hit the pillow at 7!! )

I cant wait for my LO to do these things, i have noticed she started taking more notice of her toys now.

All our LO's are very similar in age so keep an eye out for a particularly long nap! lol......

I'm still in shock! I'm expecting a fully grown adult to walk out of his room in the morning! lol

My LO has been sleeping quite a bit more the last few days, so maybe she got something new in store. Its so exciting isnt it, i get all excited when she does something new.
Her new trick at the moment is pulling tongues lol, when i pull my tongue at her she does the biggest grin, then she gets a look of pure concentration and sticks Hers out.

I'm so Jealous!!!!! I've been sticking my tongue out at Earl and blowing raspberries at him hoping he'll do it back as that's just so cute, but nothing. He just sticks 1 finger in his mouth, 1 up his nose and grins at me!

looooooooool. Happy for u I can't wait to see Omar doing all this, But not the walking out of the door

Chloe was like that the other day, with other skills obviously, its just so random that they suddenly can or decide to do something!

Chloe makes me chukkle tho, she has decided to learn to roll over but only likes to when she is fully naked!

Well done Earl! So exciting! It really is amazing when they learn new things.

Harry has recently started rolling and every day is making new chatty noises. It is so exciting! xx
