exactly....imagine if you walked into a nursery and found 6 babies screaming their heads off being ignored by staff  my son went to private nursery and they had babies from 3 weeks old....none were EVER left to cry for ANY length of time whatsoever, if they were crying they were picked up and soothed for as long as was required. | |

He's not an ogre for thinking it, but he is very wrong. Babies don't have the cognative ability to cry for any reason but truely needing something. They've just gone from their whole existance being inside you having their every need automatically met... you'll find in a few weeks she'll give what I call yaps or barks to warn you she needs something before she'll actually cry.  | |
