Old wives tale? Small feet?

Hopefully this is in the right section -

I have size 3 feet and have been told by my mother that this will mean I have a small pelvic opening, therefore I will have a difficult birth and may need a caesarean.

Is there any truth in this?

Thanks

I dont know really. If the midwife has any concerns she will refur you to consultant.

I am 5ft 1 and have size 3 feet. I gave birth naturally and had short labours, first was 2hr 10min and second was 55mins, I had straight forwarf labours and my babys weighed 7lbs 1/2oz and 6lbs 15oz

It wasnt true in my case x

I am 5ft 0 with size 3 feet and had 2 very short, very easy births. My first labour was 3 1/2 hours and my second was 45 minutes my babies were 7lbs 11.5 and 7lbs 3ozs.

I think it's just an old wives tale and you will be fine x

It's an old wives tale!

Women nearly always have babies that are in keeping with their size. It's very, very rare for the pelvis not to be wide enough to push the baby out.

I wear size 9 and had to have a c-section due to a small pelvic bone. Ava coudln't even engage because of it. So it can't be true - I have horse feet!
