stringy dark green poo?

Ruby had her injections a couple of days ago and this morning there was green stringy stuff in her nappy. She has been having more wet poos of late, but this wasn't really like poo?

Any idea? x

Hiya

I know injections can cause their poo to go a bit funny, hasn't happened with my LO but the nurse said it might.

Stringy bits are a sign of mucus I think, my LO has this at the moment but it is still yellow. Is your LO drooling a lot? This is linked to teething and can cause mucusy poo... I am hoping this is what is causing my LO's funny poo anyway.

Hope that helps x

Really? Evie's poo was like this last night (only yellow rather than green!) and she's been drooling loads and is always chewing on her fist... beginning to think she might be teething early!

I'm convinced Evan is teething, and for a couple of days has had yellow stringy poo - I never even knew that was a symptom until now!

Who here ever imagined they would one day be discussing poo on a forum?!

Yep, when I first saw it in Harry's nappy I did my usual panic and did some research, it just means it is extra mucus and when I mentioned to my HV that he is drooling she said it will just be all the saliva he has swallowed coming out the other end. Niccccce!

It is very possible that she is teething early, it can go on for ages apparently before a tooth appears! Gah! x

Sad isn't it! I think it was when I found myself examining the contents of my LO's nappy that I realised I am a mum, haha. x
