Genetic Reflux?

I'm not sure where to ask this so I thought I would post it in here.

Pre pregnancy I suffered with reflux disease, I would occasionally be sick and got heartburn all the time. After testing I was told that the valve into my stomach was pretty much always open and this was why. Then I got pregnant and have had hyperemesis so have puked my entire pregnancy.

I was wondering if anyone knows if this means my LO is more likely to have reflux when he arrives? Can reflux be inherited? xx

i have actually heard it can be. luca has bad bad reflux and i had the hyperdermis during pregnancy as well

Not sure. My LO has reflux and all of DH's family have reflux too, not sure if it's just a coinsidence or inherited.
