My doctor advised against stay down milks, as they may cause more harm than good for acid reflux. We are on Aptamil comfort which is not as thick as stay downs.

Aptamil comfort is what hes on, just called my HV and she advised me to change it as gaviscon should not be used with any other thickening agents/milks and of course the comfort milks have a thickening agent in... so his daddy is off to get him something else, argh!

my doctor has just called my HV before me to tell her that i'm losing it, lol...

Just feel like i cant do anything right and hes telling her that ive got PND cos i got upset? NO! i'm upset because my son is in obvious pain and i cant do anything to help me and your makin me feel like i'm making a big deal out of nothing.... GRRR!! my HV is all saying how wonderful my doctor is for calling her...

i keep crying a lot but i dont feel depressed, i just want my LO to not be in pain, i wouldnt think that was a sign of PND?

anyway, on a lighter note, I sent his dad for some cow and gate and put some gaviscon in it and he guzzled the lot (not done that in a few days) and hes slept since - hes not slept in the daytime for days! its a bit of a restless sleep with several squeals coming from it but im hoping its a sign of good things!

mirren has reflux (not silent) but is on comfort milk and gaviscon. I only put the gaviscon in her night feeds though. I use closer to nature bottles with medium size teats which seem to be ok for the comfort milk alone, but too thick with the gaviscon. So for the 2 night feeds I use avent bottles with vari-flow teats - which are size 3 I think - labelled for thicker liquids - you could give those a go?

My hv said it was ok to use one dose of gaviscon with the comfort milk? so confused now, lol.
