Well as you know Mya wasnt sleeping at night, I had tried everything and was a little concerned as she had slept really well the first 3 nights.

Well i done the bath bottle bed again last night, however even tho she normally doesnt like being swaddled (she hates having her arms tucked away), I decided to swaddle her anyway and hug her till she calmed down.

This worked and with a soother she began to nod off, so i lay her in her basket and she did the usual spit soother out and went to have a wiggle fit which would normally wake her up, BUT she couldnt move so settled and fell asleep. She went off at 10.30pm and slept till 2.45am, she woke had her nappy done then her bottle, swaddled again and calmed in daddys arms, she finally went back off at 4.30am and slept till 8.15am. She had her nappy done and another bottle and is now asleep again

now i am thinking the swaddleing has def helped and also maybe her thrush is getting better as she didnt seem to bothered by her bottle being in her mouth ( her tongue must have been painful before meds).

Joe hated being swaddled, but it does definitely help calm them and make them feel nice, snug and safe.

We have been very lucky with Anna so far - she feeds, then sleeps for about 2.5hrs-3 hrs during the night, then feeds and sleeps another 3 hrs or so.....

Our midwife warned us to expect a growth spurt around 10-14 days when all baby will want to do is feed - that was friday night for us - took her upstairs at midnight and she fed/cried on/off til 4.30am!!

Mya is such a gorgeous name too!

Thats intresting about the growth spurt.......when Mya was about 7 days old she had 2 5oz feeds in the space of 2 hours and from then on would want feeding small amounts every hour. but finally last night she was back to how she was to start with. I wonder if her being over due could have caused her to do this a little bit early?!?!

I just hope i am not celebrating to ealry lol, but i am so awake today, so nice to get things done in the house with out it feeling like a chore cause i am normally soooo tired lol x

NIGHT 2

thanks ladies last night went well too

thats 2 nights now.

took her up at 8pm last night she slept till 12 had her nappy done and a bottle and went back off at half 1 then slept till 7 this morning!!!!!! not sure if thats ok tbh what with her only being 2 weeks tomorrow but i dont wanna wake her to feed her x
