My most successful method was to sit down and lie baby on my knees on her back with her feet against my tummy and her head by my knees. Then put hands behind her back and slowly raise her into sitting position.Repeat several times and it usually comes out one end or the other......!.

Thanks girls! I'm gunna try letting her eat the entire bottle and THEN doing it. I do have the pacifier sometimes while I burp her but it's doesn't seem to help.

Thanks girls!

Elliott has always been very diffcult to get burps out of as well so I know how you feel!

Infacol has been a god send for me and also winding him in particular ways. Sitting him on my knee with my hand supporting his chest and rubbing in circular motions and patting seems to help. It doesn't work so well if he is slouched though. I sometimes stop him half way through a feed and wind him so if there is any wind in there not so much milk ends up being sat on top of it.

He also benefits from laying down and relaxing on my lap for a few moments before I try to burp him. The burps sometimes come up more readily then.

If I can't get a lot of wind up I will lay him down to play and then try again 15 minutes later. It usually comes out of one end or the other then!

However, in the last week Elliott has become so much easier to get wind out of. It is such a refreshing change . He will burp by himself even when laying down! Or when I sit him up he will burp with no help. I always still rub and pat just in case. He never used to burp well over my shoulder either but this has improved too!

I guess this must have something to do with his digestive system maturing. Hopefully your LO will become easier as the weeks go on as well.xx
