What the heck???

Ava is only 10 wks old and has a tooth on her bottom gums that has broke through already. She has been running a small fever for the past few days and has been extremely grumpy. Well she hasn't had a fever for the first time in a few days today and then tonight during her feeding I noticed she felt warm. So I took her temp and she had a small fever again and I decided to check her gums and sure enough her gums are swollen on the top and she is getting yet ANOTHER tooth in. It hasn't broke through at all yet but I can see that it will come in soon.

What the heck??? I can't believe she is only 10 wks old and is about to get her second tooth!!! Anyone else have an early teether?

Aww! I think it's a bit of a blessing that it is happening so fast for her. Emma has been teething for months. Chewing on things, being grumpy, odd sleep patterns, and still NOTHING! I just wish they'd hurry up and come so things can settle. hehe. Some babies are born with teeth!! That'd be odd.

Ooo I just googled it and it says milk teeth are the first set of teeth babies get. Awesome! I never knew they had a name.

Okay so I must elaborate so there isnt any confusion...

It is pretty rare to have a baby born with teeth. The dental office that I worked in called them Milk teeth and they are normally taken out and primary teeth will follow in their place. Baby teeth can also be refered to as milk teeth or primary teeth.

I was at the doc today and she had a look and thought that Bun might also be teething very soon as she could see them just under the gums>??? I thought she was crazy! He is only 9 weeks - he shouldn't be teething so soon, but I guess Ava proves me wrong. I hope they don't break through too soon as I am breastfeeding - OUCH!
xx

LOL My oldest daughter was born with a tooth and i was born with 2 But due to BF'ing my DD it was reccomended the tooth was removed and so we did and all was fine, it wasnt like a 'normal' 1st tooth(very pointy and sharp) and another one replaced it at around 8 weeks.
So Ella was my earliest teether. My DS started teething around 8 weeks and had teeth by 12 weeks, but Sienna hasnt got a thing yet, no signs of any hardened gums or any white lines yet and she is 15 weeks friday
