OMG oh just dropped both babies on the floor!!

stupid stupid stupid man i was having a lie down because ive had a headache all day and he sent faith in to see if i could feed the babies because they are getting whingey. she told him yes so he brings them in. instead of carrying them in individually, he decides to bring them in at the same time (bearing in mind they are big chunky 6 month olds now who move around a lot). he was standing there moaning that dinner isnt started yet and aimee starts flailing about. next thing i know they are falling he started shouting omg omg omg and i coud hear him panicking so i knew something was wrong and shot out of bed. as i got up i saw aimee land in a basket of dirty washing (thankfully i put it there yesterday,if i hadnt then she wouldve landed on the hard, tiled floor) i dont even know where phoebe landed but it was on something relatively soft. argh that stupid f**king man. i never attempt to carry them both anymore now aimees got 2 big red patches on her little head where she hit the edge of the basket. i am livid. i must say the language i used in those couple of minutes was pretty colourful to say the least

Oh bless them, I'm glad they're ok and relatively unscathed! I think dropping babies is everyone's biggest fear, it's definitely mine. Thank god for the washing basket.
I hope OH has learnt his lesson, I bet he's mortified!

Els x

God men are just useless. When Grace was first born, the only time I asked my then OH to watch her was when I hadn't slept more than 8 hours in about 5 days, I was sore from giving birth and he had done sod all but lay in bed on his paternity leave because he was "tired" and he took her in to the loung lay on the couch with her and fell asleep. Next thing I hear this piercing scream after a thud so I got up and ran in and he had let go of her and she had fallen onto the wooden floor and hit her head on the coffee table. I was so angry!!!

Hugs to you all ... well not you OH ... Slaps for him

Aww poor bloke tho i bet he feels terrible ...

...Mine dropped my 4 year old when she was 6/7 months (bouncing her about playing with her and got carried away)

I still make him feel guilty about it now ... he spoils her to death tho and shes 'daddy's girl' because he cant forgive himself
