That 3rd day baby blues kick in no matter what kind of person you are. - it's normal

ohh anddd....

When changing newborn boys always make sure their winky is facing south... Otherwise he will get wet parches on his baby grow( for weeks this was happening & nobody told me this tip, my hv, parents, friends- nobody, Everyone just said ohh the nappies are a tad big,I found out on BnB a few days later)

That you have to teach babies the difference between day and night! I knew that there would be sleepless nights but nothing can prepare you for them.

When people said BF can hurt at first I didn't think they meant I would be screaming and wanting to throw my baby against a wall to make it stop - needless to say I didn't throw him against a wall but yeah it hurt that much.

Despite all the birth stories I read I never thought some of those things would happen to me...things can and do happen in labour and unfortunately there is nothign you can do about it.

And it is true you may not feel an immediate bond with your baby or get a rush of love for them it takes time....but thats ok.

I wish I had known how time-consuming BF was and also how little time you get to yourself in general when you have a baby!

Well i also think that newborn babies sleep much much more than my one. But probably it's completely depends on a baby. So my one is not a good sleeper...so far

I didn't know that some babies won't latch onto the breast

I didn't know that it was possible for a 6 week old to sleep through the night

I wish I knew that having a baby would change every aspect of my life so completely (not in a bad way )

That she WOULD grow up as fast as people said she would. << This is the most important one. I can't believe she's almost 18 months old already.

That the best clothes for a newborn is a vest, a pair of socks and a babygrow.

I've had this too, very badly. My Dr gave me aqueous cream to wash my hands with so they don't dry out as much.
