baby needs to be held in certain way and rocked for naps...

does anyone else have this problem? he particularly wants this when hes tired early evevning and wants to nap. when we stand UP with him and rock him, he'll start to drop off, as soon as you sit down he opens his eyes and starts moaning, what can we do?? hes fine at sending himself to sleep when its his proper bedtime at night in his cot, its just these naps were finding it hard xxx

Oh no! the same as my Lo was, as soon as i sat down rocking her she would open eyes and moan! she would only be held upright on me standing up and rocked!

I did CC and she goes down fine most time to nap now!

AJ was like this. He wanted bounced to sleep. I blame all the hours I spent on the birthing ball
I too used to hold him for the duration of his naps - very restricting but nice cuddles
He older now and I can pop him in his buggy and he'll have a nap, handy for going out visiting, childminders etc.
He's started to nap in his cot but only if I put him down asleep

its so annoying and i dont understans why he wants to be rocked/held/cuddled during the day/early evening but at bedtime, he's fine, and goes to sleep by himself, even though i put him down awake. xx
