2nd Vaccinations - Poor little Sienna

Oh girls, my poor little Sienna had her 2nd lot of jabs yesterday and broke her heart crying

The thing thats worrying me is she still seems to be sleeping it off?! She had her milk fine since but just seems to want more sleep today... I cant remember my older 2 being like this so am a bit concerned... She doesnt feel hot and seems happy when awake,.

So ladies whos babies have had the 2nd jabs does this seem ok to you? I feel a right dumb ass asking as i have 2 older ones but i am sure they never reacted like this. x

Aww poor Sienna

I can't answer re: the 2nd lot of jabs specifically as Toby has only had his 1st lot, but he was sleepy both that evening/night and al the next day as well, still waking for feeds and never had a fever but definitely a much sleepier boy than usual.

Thanks for replying hun, seems like it maybe normal then. She has woken up since i 1st posted and given some smiles out.. I think she is just letting the effects wear off x

BTW Toby is adorable and i love his name x It is what Sienna would of been called if she was A little boy x

James hasn't had his 2nd lot yet. Getting them on Monday. But after his first lot he was definitely more sleepy. No fever or anything but just slept between his feeds. Big hugs for Sienna x

Romilly was the same after her 2nd jabs

The nurse and my HV did warn me that the 2nd ones can affect them more than the 1st set. She did sleep more the next day, though she was still taking her bottles, so I was ok with it

Hope she gets back to normal soon for you

Joe has slept more after each set of injections. All 3 seemed to make him sleepy for a day or 2 x

Yeah same here hun, Lyla was sleepy for a day or so, think its normal in some babies, hope your ok :-) xx

Ava went to get her first set of shots yesterday but is cutting teeth really early and had a small fever so they told me to wait until later on this coming week. The doctor did mention though that after a baby gets shots they will be sleepy and somewhat groggy for the next few days. Just make sure you look out for a fever because it is common after shots.

Thanks hun, yeah i am keeping an eye on her temp as i did with the older 2. Just they never reacted like this, but then each child is different huh! She seems to be almost back to normal x
