Oops...

I've been co-sleeping with Bella for almost two weeks and it's been like heaven - having her right there next to me, i've loved it, and she's been sleeping so well because of it!

But i never wanted to co-sleep, i started because she had a cold and was very fussy on the nights and struggled to breath properly.

Now the cold is gone and don't want her too used to sleeping with me, so last night she went back in her crib, and oh god it was awful, she woke every two hours and wouldn't go straight back to sleep like she usually does. So at 9 this morning i put her next to me instead of the crib and she fell asleep and i got 3 hours decent sleep until the postman woke me up, lol.

I love co-sleeping and so does Bella, do you think i should just carry on? Are there any co sleepers that have struggled to put babies into their own cots and rooms eventually? As i would like her to have her own room around 6 months, but am i making this really difficult for myself?

I personally dont co sleep and dont support co sleeping as i feel it makes babies very attached and can make things quite hard when it comes to sleeping alone.I would have said you could do with getting her back into her own room before she gets too attached..

I co sleep and I love it. Although I don't intend to stop anytime soon, I dont really mind my LO being in my bed so I suppose its dependant on the person but the way I see it the now is I get a full nights sleep, I feel better in the morning and that means i can give him more attention without being sleep deprived and when the times comes where i want him to go in his own room/bed...I'll cross that bridge then but for now I'm happy with it. x

we co-sleep with luca. hes 7 mths old and we LOVE it. we've done so since he was born. i never understand why people downtalk it. i hate sleeping alone and i am 25 years old. why should i expect my baby to want to be alone. he is by no means over-attached to us. we cuddle all night so during the day he plays by himself and is very very independent. we all get atleast 8 hrs of uninterruptd sleep a night. it works well for us. but is a very personal decision. i believe that when hes ready he will sleep by himself. if hed like to sleep with us until hes 5 thats fine with me. common sense tells me that he wont be 15 in our bed still.

haha one more thing. we never intended on co-sleeping. but luca has severe reflux and made that decision for us! my hubby always said when i was pregnant that was the number one thing he was against. that said. its a wonderful experiance in the end
