Late baby injections

Earl is now just over 10 weeks old nad we're still to have his 1st injection!

We were supposed to go yesterday but got snowed in in the morning so the nurse is sending me a new appointment.

Did anyone else have them late? He's going to be 12 weeks approx when we finally get his first lot. Will he have the first 2 at the same time? Will everything just be 4 weeks later i.e instead of 8, 12 and 16 weeks it will be 12, 16 and 20 weeks?

Just so I know what the drill is. Thanks in advance x

I don't know but we are in the same situation. They were delayed because of Christmas, then he had an appointment to get them done yesterday which I had to cancel because he has a cold. I've rescheduled for next Thursday, hopefully he'll be over the cold by then, but he'll be 12 weeks (I think - I kind of lost track!) at that stage. So I'll be interested to see what other's experiences have been. I don't think they can give two lots at one time so I'm thinking probably we will just be a few weeks behind.

Im the same, my LO was 8 weeks over the christmas period and we were away until 3rd of jan.
We had an appointment for today but the nurse phoned and cancelled all appointments for this weeks, so ive got to telephone monday. My LO will be 11 weeks when she has them.
Hopefully someone who had their LO around the same time of year we had ours, but in 2008 will be able to tell us how the later injections worked out.

My LO was about 10 weeks for his first lot and will be 20 weeksfor his second: he has had and will be having various operations for the first year and hospital advised me to leave a 2 week gap between anaesthetic and injections - I don't think is a problem at all, as long as your child is getting them that's the important thing.

Adam's were delayed because he was in hospital (again!!!!) He had them at 10 weeks- they just put the next ones back accordingly and there is no additional risk

Make sure you have some calpol ready for the evening though

Emma is late on hers as well. By the time we got our insurance all situated, the appointments were all booked up. So hers were 2 months late. I think it's fine as long as they get them all by 2 years old.

My LO had all his late. Our clinic is only run on the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month and the bank holidays always seemed to get in the way and muck up when he should have his injections. I don't think it matters too much as long as the get them - they seem to change their minds every few years or so anyway about the ages at which babies should have the various jabs!
