Has anyone successfully worked for themselves after maternity leave?

There have been a few threads recently about returning to work. I have decided to try to set up my own business so I can work it around Aisling and am in the early stages of doing this. But there's a part of me that's afraid I'm just being naive and should accept my fate of going back to work!

I really really want to make a go of this and wonder if anyone else has successfully worked for themselves after maternity leave instead of returning to employment?

I started my business while on ML for the same reason but I knew I would have to return to work for a while. My aim is to be able to leave work and still earn the same "wage" from Barum Bazaar that I am getting from my current job by the time DD needs to start schooling as I want to home school her.

LU28 what are u setting you business up in?
i looked into setting up my own business way before i was pregnant and it was so complicated! but definatly do able!
