Have you ever had a moment where you've realised your a good mum?

As the title says... I've always done everything within my power for Chaise, but it never felt like it was enough.

Over the last few days I've introduced a new routine and it's working sooooo well

I've always struggled with confidence and always thought I could do better but today I realised "I AM a good mum"

Has anyone else had moments like this?

I have these moments when everyone comments on how happy my LO is. She is always smiling or giggling. So I know I must be doing something right. It makes me feel good knowing that I'm raising a happy child.

It's tough when people like to criticize others for the way they parent. I am much more 'natural' than anyone I know and I tend to get these looks like I'm crazy. People telling me I should just let her cry to sleep at night, etc. It always makes me doubt my skills as a mother.

In a word... No!

maybe one day I'll get there, but at the minute I still don't have a clue most of the time. I'm lucky that we've been blessed with a happy & contented baby but I have zero confidence in myself..

I've had quite a few over the years with the boys but the most recent was yesterday. We pulled up to the store to go shopping and before we all got out of the car Landon says "Mommy, you are the best mommy in the entire world! Daddy you are the best daddy, too!" and then Casen looks at Landon and says in the sweetest most sincere voice "We have the best parents in the whole world!!!" It was just so sweet and made me and Mark feel really good. It was completely out of nowhere, we hadn't done anything special to "deserve" it. I have 3 amazing little boys

8 months in and I haven't had that yet.

But (and it's a biggie!) I haven't yet felt that I'm a bad mum so that's a plus!

As Mr Foo says, we've come this far and haven't broken her yet so we must be doing something right!

Usually when Bethanie says things to me like the things mentioned in this thread. She loves me, wants me, needs me, wants me to cuddle her. She also does the cute back tap thing lol. They make me feel like a good mum. But I also have loads of times where I feel like a crap mum, so it all balances out.. lol!

It's not all luck you know! You must be doing something right if your baby is happy and contented?

I don't think i'm a particularly good mum, but my baby is happy and healthy and developing well so i know i'm GOOD ENOUGH.
