Bottom Burps... Hints & Tips??

Hazel is saving all her burps for her nappy... but it means theres a delay after feeding until she gets narked with wind.

(She does sometimes just straight burp)

But when she's let them go south, she really needs to be laid down to shift them... she gets hissy, and I feel so mean.

I rub and pat her, and when it's not the dead of night I do lay her down and pump her legs... but this is no good for the 'sleepy times'.

Do you have any tricks to help farty babies??

My first LO was excellent at bring up wind after a feed, my 2nd LO however took it all into farts and as a result he'd whinge and girn until you'd hear the most attrocious fart!

I found baby massage helped to speed up the farts, but he's never really been a burpy baby, more a farty boy

my harry is a bit like this too... i have taken to rubbing his back as he's feeding, then burping him & chatting away to him to get him to wake up more... i then sit with my legs bent up & put him in the middle so he's kinda bent into a v shape, while i chat to him & keep eye contact so he doesnt start screaming... i then kinda use my thumbs to squidge his tummy gently & within 5 mins, I swear to God, he farts for like 8 seconds, usually followed by a big old poo!!! Gross. I then change him & give him the 2nd boob & he's asleep again really quickly if it's night time, or we play together for a while on his mat if it's day time. I also started giving him gripe water once in the morning & once at his last feed before bed & this has really helped too.
