Stupid question - brushing LO's teeth?!

Aisling cut her first tooth last week and it's just really started to become noticeable. How do you ladies go about brushing their teeth and do you use normal toothpaste?

You should have gotten a tooth brush and a tube of toothpaste from your HV when she was 5-6 months.

We did. And we do emmas at night with a smear of tooth paste and just brush it about on the tooth. She kinda likes it

we use a tiny toothbrush and flouride free toothpaste, they swallow it so it has to be safe.

Nope, nothing from the HV! We have a brush and some fluoride free toothpaste though so we'll just go for it

We got nothing from the HV either. We just bought a little toothbruth and kids toothpaste from boots. It's been very tricky to get her to open her mouth though!
