Throwing himself?

My 10 month old keeps throwing himself into the bars of his cot when he's upset, it's starting to worry me. He's got a little temper on him and if I take something off him, he howls and hurts himself. Can anyone suggest any ways of stopping this? Or of making sure he doesn't hurt himself?

my daughter used to do that and frequently hit her head off the back of her high chair, keep an eye on it, if the behaviour starts to really worry you i would speak to the health visitor or doctor but my daughter grew out of it
