Progesterone only contraception?

I fell pregnant with Emma on the mini pill - so don't think I'm be going back on that

Booked in at the FPA tomorrow to have the implant put in - but I'm a little confused because some websites say you shouldnt have it if you have migraines with aura (which I used to have until I was about 15) or obstetric cholestasis (which I had during my pregnancy!). BUT - the implant, like the mini pill, is progesterone only....so why could I have the mini pill and not the implant, if they both contain the same stuff?!

OH won't let me back on the pill because as much as we want another LO...just not yet, lol.

So what I'm wondering is...does anyone know whether I can have it or not...and if not...are condoms are only option (because I don't want the coil - don't ask me why, but I hate the idea of it)

Thanks x x

I would say discuss it at the FPA. I know what you mean, I thought they were the 'same stuff' too. Sorry no help, but i would def discuss it with the professionals!

I fell pregnant on mini pill but due to being lax with other contraception when we knew pill was compromised. I have been told I can only have mini pill due to BP and severe migraines.

I suffer with Migraines and was offered the implant, wasnt allowed the compined pill but I have been put on the Mini pill. So I cant see the implant as a problem!
