Dreamfeeding - does your LO burp?

Well I am trying dreamfeeding tonight and so my LO went to bed after her bath and was asleep by 7. I got her up and changed her at 10.15 and she's had 4oz. No metter what I have tried she's not burped so I am scared to put her to bed until she does. She is fast asleep. Should I fully wake her to see if she will do it?

She is 9 weeks, how long do you reckon she might sleep?

I dreamfeed regularly (BF) and Ava doesn't burp afterwards. Apparently babies take in less air when they are 'dreamfed'. Also I would say that she would not sleep if she needed to burp or was uncomfortable.

As for how long she'll sleep I'm sorry I don't know. Ava gets a dreamfeed at 12 and sleeps until 5 but every baby is different and also breast milk digests quicker - good luck I hope you have a good night!

Ozzie doesn't burp when I dreamfeed him. I have tried but he's too fast asleep to do anything

They take in a lot less air when they are asleep, because they don't really pause the way they do when they are awake, so they don't need burping as much

Our little guy doesn't burp after the DF but as others have mentioned, they take in less air when they are dreamfed so there isn't really much of a concern about burping.

As for how long the little one will sleep for, each baby is different so it is rather difficult to say. With us, we usually DF between 11 and midnight. He doesn't wake up until about 6:30 am or 7 (sometimes not until 8 but that is rare).

Ruby doesn't burp the vast majority of the time. I just hold her upright and pat her when I'm walking back to her cot to put her back down, maybe about 3 times ever she's burped!

How long will she sleep? How long is a piece of string? Sorry...Ruby would sleep for about 8-9 hours after her dreamfeed at 9 weeks...but she's always been an excellent sleeper. Hunger isn't the only reason babies wake up, so there's only so much you can do!
