| do you get very worried? DD is our first baby - and is just the most wonderful blessing ever. I wanted to ask you ladies...do you get really worried about things? Like at the moment, I am SO worried about Swine Flu and SIDS. It will really make me so panicky and fretful.
It's not any kind of PND, as I am as happy as larry - but more just worrying.
I guess worry is par for the course now, but does anyone have any tips to rationalise it?? | | | | Status: Offline

| I understand what you mean but for me I have real anxieties about other things e.g. flying and the dentist! My husband is really good at calming me as he says that I am more likely to die driving to work than on the plane yet I have no problem driving to work everyday. This does help me put it into perspective.
The same thing could work for SIDs and Swine Flu. The chances of suffering from either are quite small so try not to worry too much! | | | | Status: Offline

Ttcno3 - good to know I am not alone!

| i was the same abt SIDS although recently i've started worrying less...or maybe its just a case of not focussing so much on the worry iykwim? i think as LO gets older i get more relaxed and panic less. i still get myself at it abt random noises and end up going to check on LO in the night every now and then but its def better than the early days! although i'm sure as he gets older i'll find different things to worry abt.
i think its part of the job description of being a parent...worrying and feeling guilty!! | | | | Status: Offline

| thank you - it's good to know it's not just me! I was also a very calm person, it's amazing how I've gone from laid back to protective and worrier so swiftly! | | | | Status: Offline

| Before I had Lucy whilst pregnant I worried constantly about cot death... it just scared me so much..... So the first thing I bought was the Movement and Sound Monitor, it reasures us so much and knowing it works is the biggest relieve ever.... Takes an awful lot of worries away..... | | | | Status: Offline
