steep learning curve!!

Earl is nearly a month old!!!

As I was replying to a post this morning I realised how much I have had to learn in the last 4 weeks!!! While \I of course know very little in reality, I suddenly feel 'capable'.......does that make sense?

It's been a steep learning curve for both me and hubby, but we're starting to shallow off a bit. I'm sure that this will be the case all through him growing up too so i'm by no means resting on any laurels!

Has anyone else found the same thing?

Yes. Knew nothing of babies until he arrived. Wait til you hit 3 months. I thought we were working him out but he's suddenly grown up a stage. He's so more aware of his surroundings that he behaves differently. He uses his hands all the time. I think he's just got 3D as he loves to try and grab. I've been thinking that the teething has been ailing him but have now decided that he just shows he's windy in a different way. Or does he? Still learning. Loving how much he laughs at this stage.

I do totally agree with you. Like Tinyme, I knew very little (edging towards nothing!) about babies. Or rather, I only knew from reading, and talking to friends with babies - I had practically no practical experience.

Hubby and I are still learning every day, but it's definitely less of an "Oh my goodness, have we broken her?!" situation now
