Those who's LOs have eczema

How do you manage when putting creams on?
Alex screams blue murder and it really kills me even distraction does nothing.
Any tips with this or is it just a case of being cruel to be kind

Why is he screaming? Is it hurting him?

All 3 of my boys have had it but Casen and Hayden outgrew theirs but we never had them screaming when we put it on? Except one time Landon's was really flared up

I dont think its hurting him, rare times you can put cream on and hes fine, the situation would be no different to normal.
I think he just doesnt like it, even on his body and face hes the same.

Hmmm maybe it's cold? I always rub it between my hands a bit to warm it up. We try and do it in a routine so they know when they are going to get it. Like Landon still needs regular thick lotion 2x a day then the prescription stuff on his flare ups once a day, so in the morning he gets it before getting dressed and then always right after bath he gets it...it's always been like that so even when he was younger he knew after bath he would get patted down then lotion. With Hayden I massage him a bit when I do it after bath (I still put the regular stuff on the other 2 just to moisturize) and it helps him relax before bed

i guess it could be cold, difficult to rub between your hands when you need one to hold them though :/
I do it the same time everyday which is after bath and before bed but its far from rlaxing for either of us.

I'm sorry I hope it gets better for you. I know they use to complain if it was cold on them and straight out of the bottle it always was. Maybe you could do smaller amounts at a time and just rub it between your fingers a bit first?
