I agree with this although in certain situations ppl have no choice but to early wean but no way at 3 months
From what the OP said, there doesn't seem to be an indication that her LO is one of the very, very small number of babies that genuinely need weaning early.

OP, if OH does have concerns about LO and thinks there might be a genuine reason to wean early, then take him to the Doctor and let him argue it out with him.

i agree showing the guidelines to him , along with the reasons why not to wean early ( before 6 months unless HV /GP says so)
i bet the only reason he thinks it neccesary is that his mum says it is.... not to be disrespectfuk to her, but that kind of thinking went out the door long ago, it is best to follow the new guidelines if you can as they arnt made up just for fun IYKWIM

How many times will you be told it before you do the right thing for your son?QUOTE]

I think it is very easy for all of us to look at other people's situations and offer very black and white advice. I am sure Kelsey is thinking of nothing but what is the right thing to do for her son. Perhaps a better way to put it would be to say that she should do what she feels is best for her son and for herself. None of us on this forum can tell her what that is - all we can do is offer support and encouragement in whatever decisions she comes to.
