Baby rolled off bed. Guess I'll join the club

Cora rolled off the bed a few minuets ago. Our bed is on the floor so she only fell about 2 feet, but we have a tile floor.

She landed on her back. I hear this loud thump and rush over to pick her up. She turns super red and then GASP. It knocked the wind out of her. She gave three good yells and that was it!? I wish she would have kept crying. It felt so strange for her to just stop crying so quick. Even though Cora really isn't the type of baby to cry.

Then she goes right to sleep. I know that is a bad sign but I have given her baby motrin 15 min earlier because she is teething and it always makes her sleepy.

I just don't know. She has no bump and she wont cry when I touch the back of her head or move her limbs. I'm not sure what to think or do. She wakes up pretty easy. Should I be worried?
I feel like shit...

I think if she is waking up easily then she is ok hon. Maybe she just got a fright rather than hurt which is why she just yelled rather than cried. Obviously if you are in any doubt call the doc.

Dont feel bad, we have all done or will do something like that with our LO's. My DD fell off the changing station when she was 6 months old, it's horrible at the time but we learn from it.

I am sure Cora is fine.

Take a look at the bad mothers guilt free confessional thread...I had to confess to Ruby rolling off our (quite high) spare bed a couple of weeks ago. Don't feel bad, Ruby is fine and I'm sure Cora is too.

dont feel bad, it happened to both my older kids and im sure it will happen to eden soon enough.

im feeling a bit guilty tonight aswell

i put eden in the bath earlier and as i lay her down (she lies flat now in the big bath with her head on a bath pillow) she was squirming and crying a little. it looked like she was constipated or something so i lifted her bum up to see if she was trying to poo then i noticed a bubble bath bottle top under her back and it was digging it to her!! she had a big red mark but as soon as i took it away she was happy and it didnt bother her.

i just felt so bad and cant beleive i didnt even see the top in there when i was putting the water in

i must have kissed her and said sorry to her a hundred times!!

Aisling fell off the bed at the weekend too hon, I think we're all going to be there at some point or other. I was lucky because she landed on my breastfeeding pillow but it was exactly that - luck

I'm in the club too Seren fell off the bed, and has fallen off the couch onto our marble floor aswell... It's horrible but they get over it quicker than we do!
As long as she is waking easily then she should be fine, but I'd keep an extra close eye on her over the next couple of days, if she vomits more than normal, or is sleepier than normal, then take her to the docs just to get her checked out x

I'm sure she will be fine!

My mum told me that when I was a baby one day I would not stop crying and my mum got so fustrated that she dropped me on to her bed and I bounced straight off on to the floor! She then felt so bad she wasn't bothered about me crying anymore.
