Taylor sat on Dexter!

oh my god..

My 20mth old sat on my 5week old! I was upstairs getting dressed and OH was down stairs putting clothes in dryer, Dexter was crying but hes due for a feed so OH left him for 2mins came back into room [literally its the next room] and Taylor was in the bouncer with him! He seems fine now i think and OH told taylor off! I have no idea what to do, i gave him mummy cuddles and he seems fine, had abit of bottle. She doesnt leave him alone, shes constantly trying to pick him up, stroke him, kiss him which i suppose is a good thing .. i feel like a right bad mummy

Never leave them alone together, it only takes a split second for something to happen. I learned this last week when Kaya picked up Blythe and dropped her on the laminate floor! I left them for literally 10 seconds. Any time I need to leave them now, Blythe goes in the playpen, even if it's to answer the door/phone.

Don't mean to suggest you're doing anything wrong, but at 20/23 months they just don't understand.

she wasnt sat on him like hurting, she was kneeling on the bouncer giving him "loves" like she was cuddling him. I deffently dont think she would hurt him on purpose

Yeah I'm sure she was just trying to cuddle him hun. My friends 18 month old tries to give his little 10 week old brother 'hugs' and sometimes that can v.quickly turn into a slap They just don't realise at that age that they can hurt - but you're DEFINITELY not a bad mummy!!!!!!!!!
