Tantrums?

Can a 6 month old have tantrums?

She started doing it yeseterday, she was doing it all day and has woke up this morning doing it aswell. She kinds of make a really loud noise as if shes straining really hard ( but shes not actually straining, shes pooping fine too ). Ive noticed she will sometimes kind of clench herself aswell so she shakes iykwim...

She will just randomly do it, but she'll also do it say if i give her a bottle and she doesnt want no more, and when i put her down for a nap she'll do it ( if i ignore her she just goes off to sleep ).

Does this sound like tantrums? My mum seemed to think it was her teeth?

Id definately say they can have a temper at this age.
Alex does a growling kinda cry at something he doesnt like, or if hes not happy about something like being put in the pram (he also arches his back!)

Yeah Maisie does that too!

How do you react when he does it? Just ignore him?

Roman has been doing it for a few weeks. He has a right little temper. I just say Ah Ah Ah and he looks and stops. Im finding he wants his own way. Wants to eat when he wants, wants to lie down when he wants. He doesnt even want to go in his pram anymore!

Ruby does exactly this. she seems to do this instead of the squealing she used to do loads. i really don't think they're old enough to have temper tantrums. i believe it's a feeling of frustration of some kind...

Yeah I would say they could have tantrums too. Seren's had a wicked temper since she was a baby, she's throw herself back and turn purple screaming... I just tried to take her attention away from it at that age.

Yip hun i defo think they can have a tantrum, jessica has done the exact same as maisie but is now throwing her head back if im holding her and screaming so loud, little madam!

I will say though, with the straining noise, when jessica would do this i felt it was more of a frustration, like she wanted to go somewhere and couldnt get! She does it in her walker if she gets stuck at the edge of the couch or something so think its a mixture of frustration and temper lol Kx
