Does any1 elses LO do this??!!

Connah is constantly staring at me and OH if we have food! then he will start blowing raspberries and drooling everywhere!

Also if he is sat on OH's knee and im eating,or other way round he will sort of try to 'grab' at it...he has just started to pick up his toys and put them in his mouth and now he is trying to lean forward(he is very good at sitting up aided) and grab the food

He is 3 months + 1week on sunday so i thought he would be a bit young to be behaving like this I feel sorry for him as he is constantly looking as if to say ' Where the hell is my food?!' even though he downs 6oz bottles every 3 hours

Does any1 elses LO do this?
xx

All of this is classic baby behaviour! They stare at us eating because they're interested in everything we do and want to copy us. Ruby loves watching us eat, and laughs if we go 'mmmmm!'
Of course, they have no idea what food is, that it tastes nice, or that it fills you up when hungry...

As above really! - Everything, and i mean everything, from a piece of paper ( if i gave it to LO which i dont!) to a plastic toy, goes into Reubens mouth, and has done since your LO's age. He also watches everything we do, whether that is drink a cup of tea, eat a biscuit, or write a letter! You probably just notice it more when you are eating, cos that is probably the only time you consciously make an effort to do something for yourself, while your baby can see you!

They are inquisitive, and thats how they learn, by watching others. Dont worry, he is not asking 'why are they eating, where is mine' cos like Mum2b said, they dont know what you are doing, and why you are doing it.

It may not be so cute when you cant eat a sandwich/drink a cuppa while LO is on your knee!!

Reuben reaches out for my cup everytime, and i have given up stretching my neck out so that i can take a sip, whilst keeping the cup out of his reach!!

If I'm out for a coffee with Ruby I get it in a takeaway cup, seems a bit safer to me when she's grabbing everything in sight. She's fascinated by cups actually.

Yep, Ruby is a hair grabber too, plus she grabs the skin on my neck when I'm holding her, if her nails haven't been trimmed recently that is very painful! I'm going to do baby led weaning with Ruby instead of spoon feeding her purees...think she'll much prefer grabbing the food and doing it herself!

i was distracted by someone talking to me and LO who was sitting on my lap had leaned over and put his mouth to my cup trying to drink it. luckily it was almost empty and cold by then!
