I released to eggs that month, they got fertilised in my tube. 1 egg managed to make its way through to my womb, but the other got stuck. The reason it got stuck was because of my recent appendectomy. The surgery had left my tube swollen causing obstructions. I wasnt told this could happen, but having looked on the internet I have found that this is the cause of many ectopics.

why the one in the fallopian tube lasted so long?
When I initially started bleeding at 7 weeks, I went to the hosp and had a scan that showed the fetus (which had stopped developing at 6weeks) in my womb. The sonographer checked my tubes and stated they were clear.
I decided I wanted to MC naturally, so I was booked in 2 weeks later for a scan to see if it had come away.
At the next scan it showed my womb to be clear, but I had alot of pockets of blood around my womb that couldnt be explained and also obstructed the visual of inside me. I was asked to return in another 2 weeks for another scan.
The night before the scan I kept being sick and collapsed with the sudden rush of pain that swept through me. Knowing I had a scan in the morning I persevered through the night, and went for my scan the next day.
The scan showed massive internal bleeding so I was sent straight for emergancy surgery to see what was happening inside.
It wasnt until I woke up that I knew Id had an ectopic pregnancy that had continued to develop after losing the 1st twin, therefore causing my tube to rupture, and having to have it removed.

Sorry for such a long reply, but its so complicated, there isnt a short version

Yup, I feel really let down by the medical staff as they knew that previous to the op we were trying.

After a tube removal does this affect ovulation? I thought you went from one side then the other, after one has gone does the ovary with the working fallopian tube step up its game and release every month or would it mean you only ovulate every 2 months?

(That may be a crazy question....sorry!)
i had an ectopic and tube removal and i asked this question after my op and the dr told me that the ody is so resliant that yes u still ovulate every month from alternate ovaries but the remaining tube does the work each month

Misswren - I had an ectopic pregnancy and a tube removal last September. The doctors told me that tube removal (left in my case) does not affect ovulation because eggs released from either ovary can travel accross and go into my right tube. Therefore I can ovulate from either ovary and still release the egg and potentially concieve. Additonally, women do not always ovulate alternately left/right, sometimes they may ovulate predomninantly on one side. Therefore tube removal does not affect your ovulation to seriously unless you are unfortunate enough to have to have two removed.
