| Baby Walker Is anyone else using a baby walker?
Olivia is 5 months + and shes a big girl shes on the 100 percentile for height, but the baby walker we have for her seems to be too high her feet dont even touch the ground yet...has anyone else had this problem?
I know shes still a bit young but she cant wait to get going with her legs, I just wondered how small babies manage? x | | | | Status: Online

| i got told not to use one as it encourages babies to walk on tiptoes rather than with the flats of their feet but meh I would use it anyway. maybe she is a bit to young? | | | | Status: Offline

| aly has been using hers since about 5mnths and used to *just* reach the floor in it, it was the older style walker that had loads of wheels, there not aloud to sell them anymore though i dont think as they're meant to have 2 fixed wheels on the back, now she has a new walker and i found it higher off the floor and had to wait about a month for her to be able to reach but she wizzes round in it, she used to only go backwards and sideways and now she paces the room back and forth lol
my HV said just to make sure i still give her plenty of floor time as it can make them less interested in tummy time and so on

| IM just sad she cant reach the floor as she can sit in it but gets fed up as shes kicking her legs like nothing on earth and not going anywhere, I thought maybe the older models are better but still cannot understand how babies younger and the same age are in theirs and she isnt and shes soo tall....ahhh never mind ill just have to wait until she can and stick to the door bouncer for now! Thanks girls x | | | | Status: Online

In a couple of weeks it should be easier as he'll be 6 months and hopefully grown a cm or so, so he can move a bit.

| I was also told by hv not to use one as it is bad for there hip joints and encourages them to walk on tiptoes has anyone else been told this? | | | | Status: Offline
