i'm suspecting that Blake has oral thrush - he has white patches on his tongue and in his cheeks etc. he doesnt seem to be in pain or bothered by it at the moment. he's bottle fed so i'm ok.

who do i speak to? MW, HV or doctor? IF doctor is it going to be problem the fact that i havent registered him with my doc yet?

Sounds like thrush to me, my LO had it and I went to the docs and she prescribed Daktarin oral gel, but found out after I could buy it straight over the counter. I would still take him to the docs just to check it is thrush though. Can you not register him at the docs at the same time?

Mylo got this.. I noticed it on monday and went right round to docs.. its harmless if you treat it early.

I have this gloopy stuff called Nystatin.. its yellow and stinks like licorice.. I have to give him one ml 4 times a day... but the spoon they gave me to administer it with is ridiculous!!! so using a syringe now!

Depends on your pharmacist, some are really good and helpful, others are scared to say anything. Give them a try, if not then go to the docs and hope they give you an appointment for the same day. I find they are pretty good when it comes to children for giving appts.

im sure the gp will see him hun. infact they will probably give you a quick form to fill in while you wait , or even just tap the info into the computer
my lo had thrush when he was tiny, the gp prescribed nystatin, which is a cherry flavored antibiotic that comes in liquid form with a dropper to administer. ( he loved it )
