I have an old fiesta, it dont even have a passenger airbag its so old lol. But I have Noah in the front as I literally cant get the carseat through the gap to get him in the back. The only way wod be to put him thro the boot, not hugely practical as you can imagine. But MOT due next month, if it fails il get a new one (4 door). But I have a carseat base in the front and as I see it, it depends what sort of accident we are in to how safe he is. xxx

Do you lift out the seat + baby or just the baby? The way I would do it is get in the back seat from the other side and sit on back seat beside baby, lift him out and get back out, leaving car seat still in car.
yes currently i lift her out with the car seat - think i might try getting in the other side at the back and lifting her out, i just know it will be difficult as i have a very weak and painful right arm and left knee.. and the car's so bleeding low...
i am just so reluctant to have her in the front as im paranoid the airbag will go off even if its been switched off (as far as i can see if its a bad enough crash the airbag MIGHT still go off surely?)
problem is my OH will do anything to not sell the car, he adores it.. last night he was putting the car seat in the front to show me how easy it was etc.. he reckons its no problem as there is that cut off switch and im just being "DOOM WOMAN" for worrying about it
