To change or not to change? That is the question

So we put Rocco to bed and he's getting good at putting himself to sleep. He will sometimes wake up but not get fussy. That's when I know it's coming...the poop. He wakes up, poops, and falls back to sleep. Problem is, I feel horrible leaving him in a messy diaper, but I know if I get him up to change him, then he's wide awake and won't fall asleep for another 30 minutes or so, and by that time, he realizes he's hungry and I have to go feed him again! I tried changing him in his crib once but he pooped while I had the diaper off and then I had to take him out anyway to change his sheet!! Lol
sometimes I try to gauge how big the poop is by the sound of it. Lol if it doesn't sound really huge, I'll let it go. But we all know poopy sounds can be deceiving! They sound huge, and it's just a little squirt or they sound little and next thing you know it's leaking out his diaper. Ugh

Haha, sorry, that made me laugh! I think you just have to change him. Otherwise I reckon eventually the poo will start to make him feel cold and wet...

I know. I normally do. But I always lay here and debate with myself if I should.
Sorry. This is my 430am mind rambling right now. LO won't sleep.

Personally i wuld change him as he may become uncomfortable and wake up again.

yeah i would change again... my Lo did it last night. It was 3:30am and he'd fed and jsut fallen alseep. Then he woke and pooped so had to change him then it took a while to settle him back down

i would change him if he is awake and you notice him do it . but i wouldnt feel like you have to listen out for itor wake up to check, if he goes and you dont notice ihe will soon let you know if it is bothering him
